Vainu MCP: Use Vainu Data in Any AI Assistant

Written by Leena Närväinen | Mar 17, 2026

The Vainu MCP Server is here, giving you access to Vainu's Nordic company database directly inside the AI assistant you already use.

Whether that's ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot Studio, or any other MCP-compatible client. No new interface to learn. No switching between tabs. Just type what you need in plain language, and your AI assistant pulls verified company data from Vainu in real time.

What is MCP?

Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to external data sources. Think of it as a universal plug: one connection that works across many AI platforms. Instead of building separate integrations for every tool, MCP gives your AI assistant direct access to Vainu's database through a single, secure link.

How does this help?

The whole point of Vainu MCP Server is that the chat interface you already use becomes your gateway to Vainu's entire Nordic company database. Here's what that looks like in practice.

Research a company in seconds

Instead of opening Vainu in one tab, LinkedIn in another, and your prospect's website in a third, just type:

Give me a full overview of Wolt including financials, recent news, tech stack, and hiring activity.

Your AI assistant pulls the answer directly from Vainu's verified data. One prompt, one answer, no tab-switching.

Build prospect lists in natural language

Skip the advanced filters. Describe the segment you're after in your own words:

Find mid-sized logistics companies in Sweden that use Salesforce and have grown headcount this year.

Your AI assistant translates that into a precise database query behind the scenes and returns the matching companies.

Find signals buried in public documents

This is where semantic search shines. Ask something like:

Are there any new data centers being planned in Sweden?

Vainu MCP Server searches across meeting minutes, budget documents, regulatory filings, and more to find what's relevant. You don't need the right keywords or to know which municipality published the document, just describe what you're looking for.

Chain it with your other tools

MCP isn't limited to one connection at a time. Your AI assistant can use multiple MCP servers in a single conversation, and that's where things get really powerful.

Imagine you connect Vainu MCP alongside a HubSpot MCP and a Gmail MCP. You could start a conversation like this:

Check my HubSpot pipeline for deals that have been stuck in the negotiation stage for more than 30 days. For each of those companies, pull their latest financials and any recent news from Vainu. If any of them have recently announced a new round of funding or a leadership change, draft a re-engagement email for each one and save them as drafts in Gmail.

One prompt. Three tools. Your AI assistant pulls the stalled deals from HubSpot, enriches them with real-time Vainu data, identifies the ones with a timely reason to reach out, and prepares personalized emails. All without you leaving the chat.

Works where you work

Vainu MCP Server is available today for:

  • ChatGPT (OpenAI)
  • Claude (Anthropic)
  • Microsoft Copilot Studio
  • Cursor
  • Gemini CLI
  • Any MCP-compatible client supporting HTTP/SSE transport and OAuth 2.0

Whether you're preparing for a sales meeting in ChatGPT, building automation workflows in Copilot Studio, or developing custom tooling in Cursor, Vainu's data is right there in the conversation.

Getting started

Setup takes a few minutes:

  1. Get the server URL from your Vainu contact alongside the right permissions: https://mcp.vainu.ai/mcp
  2. Add it to your preferred AI client.
  3. Complete the OAuth login to connect your Vainu account.
  4. Start asking questions about Nordic companies.

Vainu MCP Server uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE for authentication, the same security standard used by major enterprise platforms. Your credentials are never shared with the AI provider, and data access is scoped to your existing Vainu permissions.

If you're already a Vainu customer, reach out to your contact person to make sure you have the necessary permissions enabled. If you're not yet using Vainu, try it for free to see how MCP Server fits into your workflow.
